Killarney Lakes and Trails Cycle

Ross Castle

Innisfallen Island

Dinis Cottage

Lord Brandon's Cottage

Gap of Dunloe

Kate Kearney's Cottage

This is transport for 1 passenger and their bike through the 3 lakes of Killarney National Park. Boats leave Ross Castle at 10.30am only each morning and travel to Lord Brandon's Cottage in the Gap of Dunloe.

Highlights along the way include a visit to Innisfallen Island to see the 7th century Monastic ruins and the chance to see some of our nesting White Tailed Eagles.

The total cycling distance from Lord Brandon's Cottage to Killarney is 25km and cyclists should be aware that the Gap of Dunloe route contains some steep uphill sections as well as some steep downhill sections.

The good news is that this isn't a race! After having a coffee at Lord Brandon's Cottage, cyclists can travel the 11km through the Gap of Dunloe at their leisure (don't be afraid to walk the steep sections!). Stopping to have lunch at the world famous Kate Kearney's Cottage is definitely recommended before the final 14km cycle to Killarney.

This is a great way to see the Gap of Dunloe and cyclists may also take in other parts of the National Park on their way back to Killarney.

Please note, the cycle is not guided.

Bike rental is not included in the price but we can recommend O'Sullivan's Bike Rental; www.killarneyrentabike.com
